- Welcome, and thank you for buying the
- D!ZONE 2 COLLECTOR'S EDITION CD
- FROM THE WIZARDWORKS GROUP, INC.

-
- Overview
-
- When WizardWorks first apporached me about doing this CD, I jumped at the
- chance. I took it upon myself to put together the best selection of PWADS,
- utilities, and information available on BBS, Online Services suchs as AOL
- and Compuserve, and the Internet.
-
- Unlike many of the 'other' CDs out there.. you won't find 10 differnet
- versions of the same program here. I spent countless hours.. right up to
- the day D!ZONE 2 was mastered searching and grabbing the newest Utilities,
- the hottest PWAD, and more.
-
- This PWAD CD is just that.. a Massive collection of the best PWADS for
- DOOM and DOOM 2. Sure it has the newest versions of the best utilities
- such as DEU 5.2, DMAPEDIT, NWT and more... but it's the PWADS that count.
-
- D!ZONE 2 sports over 1000 NEW LEVELS. More than 200 New DOOM 2 Levels
- (that's right... real DOOM 2 pwads... not just some quick conversion
- like those other CD's), and over 800 New DOOM Levels.
-
- So sit back and enjoy! It's been fun putting this together and I hope
- you get hours of enjoyment out of it.

- Getting Started
-
-
- NEW to D!ZONE 2 is the CD HELPER (the program you are using now), a program
- designed to help you move about the CD and make it easy on you to find what
- you are looking for. I suggest that you use the CD HELPER anytime you need
- to extract something off of this CD.
-
- There is also a new version of D! included with D!ZONE 2. If you want to
- try D! out, or already use D! and want to upgrade, just select the first
- option below. D! 1.50 will then be transfered to your computer.
-
- Please read the D!'s documentation even if your a pro with it. Several
- things have changed. Press F1 at anytime inside D! to view the online
- help. Also... alot of you guys wrote in asking to be able to print out
- D!'s documentation. Well now you can. Once D! 1.50 is installed on you
- system, run the program...
-
- PRINTDOC.EXE
-
- This will dump a copy of D!'s documentation out to your printer. It's
- suggested for best possible output that your printer be able to emulate the
- IBM ProPrinter x24. Also, PRINTDOC will only work with printers connected
- to LPT#1.
-
- On a final note.. D!ZONE 2 avoids the problem on D!ZONE where all the
- .TXT files for the pwads were in the wrong place. Starting with 1.50
- if D! does not find the .TXT file in the current PWAD directory you will
- be prompted to enter a new directory to search.
-
- UNDZ
-
- There is a small utility program in the \D!ZONE2\ directory called UNDZ.EXE.
- This utility can be used to manually split about the .D!Z files contained on
- this CD.
-
- These .D!Z are much like DOOM's PWADS or a .ZIP file (without any compression)
- are were simply used to make keeping track of everything easier. To get
- help on how to use UNDZ.. just type "UNDZ" at the DOS prompt.
